Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MaltaCat AI platform and services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The service
MaltaCat AI provides AI-powered receptionist services for businesses, including automated handling of phone calls and website chat, lead capture, appointment scheduling, and a management console for reviewing conversation outcomes. The service is provided on a business-to-business basis.
2. Account access
Access to the management console requires a user account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at admin@maltacat.org if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Collect or process personal data in a manner inconsistent with GDPR or other applicable data protection law
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
- Use the service for any purpose other than legitimate business communication
4. AI-generated content
The assistant's responses are generated by AI and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for every situation. You are responsible for reviewing conversation outcomes and ensuring that your customers are informed they may be interacting with an AI system where required by applicable law.
5. Third-party services
The platform uses OpenAI's API for AI processing. Use of the service is therefore also subject to OpenAI's usage policies. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services.
6. Data and privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you agree to that policy. As a business client, you are responsible for ensuring that your own customers are informed about AI-assisted interactions and that any required consents are obtained.
7. Service availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to carry out maintenance, apply updates, or modify features with reasonable notice where possible. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MaltaCat AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost revenue, missed leads, or reliance on AI-generated information.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service at any time for breach of these Terms or for any other reasonable cause. You may request account closure at any time by contacting admin@maltacat.org.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
